This traditional old-style fish harbour is known locally as a food storehouse. During the open-water season, fishermen arrive at the shore from early morning and sell fresh fish directly. Kalapuohi, a shop specialising in fish delicacies, operates year-round.
The guest harbour is protected by sturdy breakwaters and serves boats in the open-water season. Guest berths are on the pier opposite the harbour entrance and at the end of the breakwater. The beach kiosk Rantakioski Niemennokka is on site, with fuel for boats, and there are swimming beaches on both sides of the harbour. The harbour is managed in cooperation with the pier association. It can be reached by car or by bus 21, and the car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
