Founded as a village brigade in 1925, the volunteer fire brigade is contracted to the Päijät-Häme wellbeing services county. Tasks include firefighting, rescue, oil incidents and first response. It has operational, youth, support and association sections.
The youth section welcomes girls and boys aged 10–15. Operational callouts require basic rescue training. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible, but accessible seating, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop are not available.
