The houses use EcoCocon straw panels made from about 98 per cent natural and renewable materials. The approach combines straw panels with timber and element construction and wood-fibre insulation.
Clients can choose an individually designed house or an adaptable standard model. According to the website, wall and roof structures can be erected in about 1–2 days. The stated insulation U-value is 0.12 W/m²K, with 120-minute fire resistance for clay-plastered panel walls. Solutions are also offered for businesses.
