Designed by C. L. Engel, the brick cruciform church was built in 1836–1839. P. E. Limnell's 1841 altarpiece depicts Jesus in Gethsemane. The churchyard contains graves of 165 people killed in the Winter and Continuation Wars, and the 1961 Book of Life memorial for those left in Karelia. A church museum preserves objects from the parish's old collection.
Step-free access, a hearing loop, accessible parking and a toilet are available. Children have a care room and play corner. Equipment includes a projector, screen and piano or grand piano. The church and chapel are hired to non-members of the Lutheran church only for Christian ceremonies.
