The sports club was founded on 27 January 1924 as a parish-wide club covering all the villages. Skiing was its earliest popular sport, and a cross-country ski lodge was built in 1965. Early sections included orienteering, pesäpallo, basketball and ice hockey, and the club won a Finnish orienteering championship title in 1969.
The Korpisali hall hosts winter and summer groups for children, families and adults: a cross-country ski school, athletics, volleyball, fitness volleyball and family football. The club organises the Kiehimänjoki run, with marathon, half-marathon and fitness distances. Membership is paid per season and covers group coaching, insurance and awards in weekly races. Because of insurance, members must register and pay before taking part. The car park is wheelchair accessible.
