This municipal venue stands on an island in Lake Simpelejärvi and is rented for cultural, celebration, representation and meeting events. The main building suits small events of up to 50 people, and the sauna building has a sauna with washing facilities, a fireplace room for about 15 to 20 people and a kitchen. Accommodation is available for five, and the library room holds books and items from the estate of the author Lempi Jääskeläinen. Larger events can only be held outdoors.

The island is reached by car after Anitsanlahti bay. Built as a summer residence, the site was a sawmill and steam mill in 1889–1892 and a Samaritan Society care home in 1910–1920. The main building was renovated in 1978–79 and 2001–2002, keeping its original character, and it can be cool during severe frost. The venue is rented as a whole or in parts, and renting requires a written agreement naming a responsible person. The car park is wheelchair accessible.
