The parish's main church was built in 1813–1817 on the site of two earlier churches and consecrated in 1840. Matti Salonen led construction to Carlo Bassi's plans. Seating about 1,200, it has a 31-stop organ acquired from the Kangasala organ factory in 1907. The Transfiguration altarpiece was donated in 1880, and Armi Siitonen designed the textiles.
Major repairs took place in 1858–1860 and 1911, with a thorough renovation in 1970–1971 led by Heikki Elomaa. In deep winter, services mainly move to the chapel of rest. Step-free access, a hearing loop, an accessible toilet and accessible parking are available.
