Owned by a prayer-house association, the Laestadian gathering venue opened in 1996. The building covers 836 m² and seats 505. The first prayer house was acquired as a log building from Evijärvi in 1909, after the revival reached the area in the early 1870s.
Gatherings are open to everyone and streamed on the association's and LFF's YouTube channels. Activities include meetings, church soup sales and members' meetings. A centenary history book has been published. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
