Built during post-war reconstruction with support from American Christians, the church was consecrated in 1953. Its main hall seats 350, with a parish hall and bell tower also on the property.
It hosts worship, church events and groups such as a craft circle and choir. Step-free access, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop are provided. Accessible parking areas are reached from behind the church.
