The main parish church of the local parish stands on Pappilanmäki hill. The present church was built in 1753 and is one of the oldest churches still in worship use in the Diocese of Mikkeli. It is the third church to stand on the same hill, and its bell tower, dating from 1746, is the oldest building in the area.
The church hosts services, concerts and other events, many of them free of charge. The organ has been renovated and marked its 10th anniversary with a concert. It belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. The entrance and car park are step-free, with an accessible toilet and an induction loop.
