The park's outdoor skating circuit is about 700 metres long and is frozen when weather permits. It is intended for distance skating, with games prohibited. Maintenance normally continues until early March and sometimes longer if conditions allow.
Three access points marked on the map have benches for changing skates. Walking, cycling and vehicles on the ice are prohibited to prevent gravel accumulating. Helmets are recommended. Recreational skates and a helmet can be hired at the swimming hall ticket desk, with SNS, NNN and boot-binding models available.
