Run by a voluntary association within the Finnish Soldiers' Home Association, the soldiers' home serves conscripts and reservists at Satakunta Air Command. Facilities include a café, kiosk, library and quiet room for resting or studying, plus billiards and board games.
There is no obligation to buy anything. Paid staff work during the day, with volunteers covering evenings and weekends. Services are also taken to conscripts in the field. The association arranges welcome and homecoming events and themed evenings.
