The couple and family therapy practice mainly uses emotionally focused couple therapy, or EFT. Based on attachment theory, the method has a structured nine-step approach. Therapists are trained in couple therapy and bound by confidentiality.
Couple sessions usually last about 90 minutes and individual sessions about 45 minutes. Meetings are typically two to four weeks apart, more often during crises. A course may involve a few sessions to around ten, while EFT is designed for 8–20 sessions. Appointments are recommended, and a toilet is available.
