This is a rapids-type waterfall on the Mustijoki river. The upper fall is about 3 m high, while the lower stretch, a drop of about 10 m over roughly 200 m, is used for hydropower. A small 535 kW plant was rebuilt in 2010, so much of the rapids now runs with reduced flow. The uppermost and steepest fall was spared from damming, and the water flow mainly comes during spring floods.

Next to the rapids stands the former Lahan manor mill, built in 1892, which produced electricity for the manor until the 1960s. Remains of old log-drive structures and a sawmill site that operated until 1912 are visible in the area. The waterfall can be seen from the road bridge, and several parking spots are nearby. The manor grounds host summer events such as exhibitions and film screenings in the mill premises, and according to the website offer riding and tennis.
