Family daycare takes place in the childminder's home in a small group of up to four children. One familiar carer looks after the group, with home-cooked meals, daily outdoor activity and exercise in nature. Childminders are trained and the service is municipally supervised.
Families can visit the childminder's home before choosing a place. A gradual start is available with a parent present during the first days. Applications are submitted through an online form.
