Consecrated in 1832, the wooden double-cross church is also a Saimaa Geopark cultural site. The hall seats over a thousand people, and its organ loft holds a 36-stop organ. A thorough renovation took place in 2006–2007.
The church belongs to Mikkeli Cathedral Parish. The entrance, parking area and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
