The municipal neighbourhood school provides pre-primary education and grades 1–9 for about 90 pupils. Learning emphasises social-emotional and interaction skills and a close relationship with nature. Lake Saimaa and the surrounding environment are used in lessons and shared excursions.
A range of physical activity and sports opportunities is available. The school stresses a safe physical and mental learning environment and qualified staff. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
