This family-owned holiday resort stands on the shore of Lake Saimaa in a historic sawmill setting. Accommodation ranges from cottages and villas to hotel rooms, from one-bedroom rooms to villas for up to six guests. Of its three restaurants, Koskivahti serves seasonal, regional ingredients, Pajapirtti offers open-fire dinners and Rantamakasiini serves burgers in summer. The kitchen makes much of its own food, including bread and ricotta, and favours local suppliers.
There are several saunas: a smoke sauna, a wood-fired sauna, an electric sauna and a winter ice sauna built on the Saimaa shore. Year-round events include open-fire dinners, brunches, concerts, theatre and food events. Activities include hiking, canoeing, rowing, paddleboarding, cycling, padel, and skiing and ice-skating in winter. Meeting facilities include Hall Ilmari for up to 60 people, a 120-seat restaurant with a 20-person private room, and a summer venue for up to 300. Pets are welcome, Wi-Fi and parking are free, and the building is non-smoking. There is no pool or gym.
