Set in a sheltered bay on Niinisaari island, the museum farm presents early 20th-century archipelago life and the last farmer's home. The site forms part of a nature conservation area and Saimaa Geopark, and keeps sheep and hens.
Guided tours last about half an hour, with group tours for at least ten people. A guided nature trail and sauna are also offered. The grounds and nature trail can be explored independently outside the summer season. Visitors arriving by water can use a guest jetty and a landing place for paddlers.
What stayed with you from the farm tour, tell other archipelago visitors in the comments.
