The restaurant stands by the harbour on Lake Saimaa and serves locals and tourists. Lunch is served year-round, and an à la carte menu is added in the summer season. The food focuses on fresh ingredients, seasonal produce and Saimaa lake fish such as muikku (vendace) and kuha (pike-perch). The kitchen bakes its own sourdough rye bread. Lunch includes a salad buffet and hot dishes marked as gluten-free or lactose-free.
A pub-style bar area, Sandels saluuna, hosts events such as darts and karaoke. Catering and private events are also offered. The family business is run by owner-chefs Jere and Jesse. Accessible seating, parking and entrance are available.
