The former sawmill yard contains glacial erratic boulders, both scattered and piled. Gaps between them have served as children's play spaces. A nearby boulder and fissure cave lies in biotite-hornblende gneiss and is entered through a crack. It is said to have been a wartime hiding place.
A marked forest trail with climbs and descents leads to the cave. Sturdy footwear and a torch are recommended, as parts are dark. The starting point and parking turning area are on Tupavuorentie. The site is part of Saimaa Geopark, with accommodation, tourism and harbour services nearby.
