Founded in 1934, the sports association offers skiing, orienteering, football, archery, javelin, ice hockey, figure skating, wrestling, Finnish baseball, floorball and athletics, including veterans' athletics. It has hosted national skiing competitions, including the Junior Finnish Championships in 2023.
Each discipline has its own contact person, and annual or lifetime membership is available. Funding includes long-running bingo activities and summer social dances at the Suurlava dance hall, built in 1964.
