This year-round cottage village on the river offers full-service rental cottages. It lies on the island of Kielosaari, right beside Finland's oldest wooden bridge still in use. The grounds have a barbecue area, a playground and a children's swimming pool, and you can swim in the river from the site.
Sandy beaches are a few minutes' drive away on the coast. The island is popular for lure fishing, with perch, pike, rainbow trout and whitefish on offer. Rare ferns grow in the surroundings, and larks and warblers sing nearby. Pets are welcome, and the place suits families with children.
