Designed by Jarl Eklund, this small log-built cruciform church was consecrated on 7 June 1914. Major renovations took place in the 1950s and in 2014. Matti Visanti painted the altarpiece, depicting the Second Coming of Jesus, in 1951. The mechanical organ, built by Hans Heinrich in 1990, has 14 stops.
The church seats 338 and can be booked through the parish or finance office. The churchyard contains 154 war graves and the Itkevät kivet memorial to those who died in evacuation. Step-free access, an accessible toilet, a hearing loop and accessible parking are provided.
