The animal park is home to about 50 Arctic species and around 150 animals, including polar bear, lynx, wolverine, owls, musk ox, reindeer and moose. It has been running for over 40 years and is open all year round, with a farm animal park open in summer too. International groups can join guided tours in English, led by freelance guides in winter.
You can also stay on site: glass igloos on the shore of Lake Ranuanjärvi come with a small kitchen and private sauna, holiday cottages next to the park have a fireplace, sauna, kitchen and private terrace, and there are camping sites. Two cottage units can be combined for up to 12 people. There is a restaurant, Wi-Fi and free parking, pets are welcome and breakfast is included with the stay. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
