The pharmacy opened in 1950, following a medicine depot established in 1931. It supplies prescription and self-care medicines with medication advice, prescription renewal and automated dose dispensing. Dispensed doses come in single-dose bags in two-week batches.
The premises occupy a corner of the municipal office building, where it has operated since 1967. Prescription renewal appointments can be booked by phone; allow several days for processing. Unused and expired medicines can be returned. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
