Founded by six members in 1982, the club focuses on children's and junior ice hockey. It began on natural ice, moved to artificial ice in 1987 and into an indoor rink in 1991. Its first international tournament took place in the 1989–1990 season, followed by several other international events.
Alongside junior activities, the club offers men's recreational hockey and training camps. It holds the Finnish Ice Hockey Association's Nuori Suomi quality seal. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
