Built in 1992 and extended in 2014, the lodge belongs to Uvan Metsästäjät ry. Founded in 1985, the club has around 80 members involved in small game and moose hunting and dog breeding, with over 4,000 hectares of private hunting land.
The grounds include saunas and a firewood shed. An annual moose feast brings together members, villagers and land lessors. The club hires out its field kitchen, and the car park is wheelchair accessible.
