The church belongs to a parish that is part of the Oulu diocese. The parish and its church date back to the 1500s, and the parish became independent in 1785. Services are held on Wednesdays at 18:00 and Sunday Mass at 10:00. The parish runs activities for children, youth and families, as well as music, clubs and Bible study groups. Diaconal work offers guidance and counselling, and the parish publishes the magazine Pääsky, an e-newsletter and Radio RovaDei broadcasts. Capacity is limited to 680 people for security reasons.
Venues can be rented from the parish, and its website covers weddings and burial matters. The site is in Finnish and English. The church has a hearing loop, and the seating, entrance, toilet and car park are wheelchair accessible.
