This cottage village stands on the bank of the Kemijoki river and has operated since 1972, when a former farm became tourist accommodation. It rents out red riverside cottages: 16 electrically heated cottages suitable for winter use, for one to three people, plus a detached house for four to six. The cottages have a mini kitchen, TV, linens, towels and a private toilet and shower. Some have a fireplace.
The mini kitchen includes a coffee maker, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and tableware. Wireless internet is available in all riverside cottages, and in winter there is a heated parking space next to the cottage. The village lies about 7 km from the city centre. It is non-smoking and child-friendly, with no breakfast, pool, restaurant or gym.
