The botanical garden is part of Arktikum, a museum and exhibition venue focused on Arctic nature and traditional livelihoods. The building has Arktikum Café, which serves a seasonal lunch buffet, and Arktikum Shop, selling crafts, design items, jewellery and books, many made in Lapland. Guided exhibition tours and group tickets are available for groups and schools, and the Culture Pass covers two attractions.
Assistants enter free, and guide and assistance dogs are welcome; other pets are not admitted. Wheelchairs can be borrowed from the information desk, and there are lifts and several toilets, including accessible ones. The main entrance has a threshold and the exhibition doors are heavy. Parking is free for four hours with a parking disc, with accessible parking in the courtyard. The Polarium hall has an induction loop, the exhibition areas do not. Coat racks, lockable cabinets and a luggage storage room are free to use.
