The association is a member of the Allergy, Skin and Asthma League and is run entirely by volunteers. It was founded in 1981 and covers the area of the former Lapland hospital district. It supports people with allergies, asthma and atopic eczema through peer support.
Events and groups are organised for members and volunteers. You can join as a member or volunteer through the association's website. It is based in the Civic Centre (Kansalaistalo).
