This municipally run art and cultural history museum presents a permanent fine art exhibition, Luovuutta luonnostaan, and special exhibitions throughout the year. The grounds include a sculpture park, heritage herb garden, restored shore meadow and the Toivi Järvinen art home. The local art collection also includes public works at the school and cultural centre and the town hall.
The shop sells local-history items and gifts. The museum also runs the Stone Age Village summer exhibition, manages exhibitions and collections at Tapperien Juhola and advises on art foundation collections. The entrance, parking and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
