Run by a volunteer association, this soldiers' home serves conscripts, reservists and garrison staff. It offers café services, an internet bar and library services. Cafe Potero on the ground floor is also open to civilian customers at set times. The soldiers' home is a partner of the Pori Brigade.
The Soldiers' Home Association was founded in 1963, when units of the Pori Brigade moved to the area. Membership is open, and a membership application form is on the website. A history book covering the first 50 years was published in 2013 and can be borrowed from local libraries. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are all wheelchair accessible.
