This soldiers' home is run by a volunteer association and serves conscripts, reservists and garrison staff. It offers café services, an internet bar and library services. Cafe Potero on the ground floor is also open to civilian customers at set times. The association is a partner of the Pori Brigade and was founded in 1963, when Pori Brigade units moved to the garrison town.
Membership is open, and a membership application form is on the website. A history book covering the first 50 years was published in 2013 and can be borrowed from local libraries.
