Built in 2020, the viewpoint is intended for observing northern lights, the midnight sun, autumn colours and snow-covered trees. Daytime views extend towards the ridge, while darkness brings opportunities to watch the stars and moonlight.
It is beside the road, about 4 km from the Sallatunturi centre towards Kuusamo. There is no fireplace, so dress warmly. Visitors are asked to take their litter away.
