This is a professionally led amateur theatre with a varied programme. It aims to make bold theatre art, offer experiences in everyday life and promote the accessibility of theatre. Its values are courage, openness and respect, and an equality and non-discrimination plan guides its work.
The main stage is in the city centre, with nearly 400 seats and a restaurant, Teatteriravintola Bravo, serving its performances. The Vuohensaari summer theatre is a partly covered open-air theatre by the sea, about 4.4 km from the centre. The theatre also stages improv shows, concerts and song-and-poetry evenings. Tickets are sold by email, by phone, at the venues before performances and through the lippu.fi ticket service. Accessible seating and a step-free entrance are available.
