Founded in 1986, the local association of around one hundred visually impaired members organises cultural, study and recreational activities. It operates within the Southwest Finland regional association and the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired network. Its aims include bringing people together and improving their financial position.
It offers website accessibility testing for organisations, as well as awareness talks and training for workplaces and groups. Members with expertise in visual impairment provide guidance on assistive devices.
