The museum is run together with the Finnish Book Institute foundation and presents the history of books and book culture through exhibitions and interactive, family-oriented displays. It is also the regional museum, over 90 years old, documenting local cultural history together with the community. There is a café and a museum shop.
Guided tours, group visits and school programmes are available, and the venue can be rented. Birthday party packages are offered for children. Online exhibitions and escape games on literary themes are available, some in English and Swedish. The Museum Card is accepted. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
