The peninsula recreation area has a beach, diving tower, jetty with open-water swimming lanes, skate park, parkour area and exercise equipment for older users. There are beach volleyball, basketball and padel courts. The present three-storey diving tower replaced a two-storey structure built in the 1930s.
Managed by municipal sports services, the area also serves cyclists, joggers and dog walkers. Pororanta beach caters for families and hosts swimming lessons. The entrance and car park are wheelchair accessible.
