This shop in the village of Karuna, by the sea at the edge of fields and forest, was founded in 1923. It focuses on nature-based offerings: outdoor dining, wild herbs, natural products and their derivatives, natural cosmetics and nature wellness. Artisan products and baked goods are sold in the shop, and the house offers B&B accommodation close to Turku's outskirts and the Southwest Finland archipelago.
The restaurant side is run by a separate company, Tapsun Ruokapalvelut, with a similar concept to before. Courses, nature excursions, cooking over an open fire, processing of natural products and baking are on offer. Guided wild-herb cooking trips include herb-cosmetics making at the Ekniemi holiday village, and horse-related nature day trips are run with Hännilän Tila. Parking and Wi-Fi are free, breakfast is included and the place suits children.
