Designed by Josef Stenbäck, the national romantic church was built from rapakivi granite in the early 1920s. The parish's seventh church also served as the cathedral of the Viipuri diocese in exile. Felix Frang's altarpiece depicts Jesus in Gethsemane.
Stained glass is by Ola Forsell, with textiles by Laura Korpikaivo-Tamminen. The Hans Heinrich organ, designed by Asko Rautioaho, was dedicated in 1979. A Tree of Life wall textile titled Let the Children Come was installed in 2014. The church was renovated in 2012. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
