This spa resort belongs to a sports institute and combines a sports centre, the institute and accommodation in Eastern Finland. The Sport Spa is open year-round, with a four-lane 25 m main pool, a hot pool, a cold pool and water slides. Accommodation is offered by the Pyöreä Torni and Kaartila hotels, a row house and Villa Vuorela, and a year-round campsite is nearby. The grounds also have an ice hall and a FIFA-standard football hall.
The programme includes sports camps for children and youth, wellness weekends for adults and exercise courses for seniors. The resort is run by the Tanhuvaara Foundation and is known for throwing events in athletics. Breakfast is included, Wi-Fi and parking are free, and the resort is child-friendly and non-smoking. There is no gym.
