This non-profit cultural venue, run by Kulttuurikellari ry, was set up in a former cinema. Its programme mixes theatre, revues, stand-up comedy, concerts from jazz to folk, exhibitions and community events. The hall can be rented for regular activities or one-off events, and anyone can organise an event there. Members of the association get cheaper hall rental.
The Kellarin ravintola restaurant works alongside the venue and serves event visitors and organisers. Tickets are often sold in advance through online services such as Biletti.fi or Nettilippu.fi. The building is accessible and listed as an EU disability card venue, and the entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
