This buffet restaurant is part of the Tanhuvaara Sport Resort, about 10 km from the city centre. It seats 150, expandable to 190. Alongside breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets there is a daily salad buffet, bread from local producers, and coffee or tea. Vegan and vegetarian food is served daily, and special-diet meals are prepared from scratch on request. According to its website, 98 percent of the meat is Finnish, with an emphasis on local food and seasonal Lake Saimaa vendace.
Next door, Cafe Espilä serves pastries, coffee and snacks and has a small minimarket. Bar Espilä seats about 60 and has a licence to serve alcohol. The restaurant also offers a table-service menu, a wine list, and catering for groups and private events. Please report allergies in advance. Seating, parking, entrance and toilet are all wheelchair accessible.
