The association was founded in 2008 and is a member organisation of Suomen Latu. It operates in the surrounding region, including parts of Ilmajoki, and develops and maintains experience-sports and nature-sports routes and sites, largely accessible. The sites include the Kyrkösjärvi sports park, the Jouppilanvuori routes, Luontotalo Käpälikkö, Sirius-kota, Aarnikotkan kota and Vuoritukikohta Korsu. Käpälikkö is the starting and information point for the routes, with maps available, and its accessible rooms can be rented for meetings, private parties and events.
Fishing permits are sold at the Kyrkkis kiosk at Käpälikkö. The association rents boat places on Lake Kyrkösjärvi and manages fishing rights there together with the Kyrönjoki fishing area. It relies on volunteer work, with sessions on Wednesdays. The town was declared an experience-sports city in 2009. Seating, the car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
