This art and culture centre stands on the historic Itikanmäki hill near the city centre and the railway station. Contemporary art exhibitions fill its Vintti and Halli spaces. It runs art and handicraft courses and workshops, including Friday workshops for adults. It is also home to Taito Shop and the Parsi art lending library, and children have their own section and a cat character called Muu-Mau.
Event rooms include Hugo hall for concerts and seminars, plus Kammio, Itikka and Vintti. The programme ranges from jazz to chamber music, group events and celebrations, and monthly Afterwork Art evenings combine art and food. Restaurant and bistro services, meeting packages, guided tours and workshops for groups, including birthdays and private celebrations, are available. Seating, parking, the entrance and the toilet are wheelchair accessible.
