A stair-climbing exercise route of 441 steps, split into A and B staircases, runs up the Jouppilanvuori hill. The wooden stairs are lit and have handrails, and the easy route runs as a loop. The A stairs lead to a viewpoint shelter with a mural by artist Ville Hautaluoma. A covered resting point halfway up also works as a rain shelter, and the bottom of the A stairs has a storage shelter, covered bicycle parking and an area map.
Starting points include Laskettelukeskus Joupiska, Luontotalo Käpälikkö and a parking area at Jouppilanvuori. The stairs are not barrier-free, though the Käpälikkö route offers a barrier-free approach. The route is not maintained in winter, so it is used only when free of snow and ice. Dogs and studded shoes are not allowed. It was built as volunteer work by Lakeuden Elämysliikunta ry and completed in 2019.
