Founded in 2003, the association promotes psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy across South, Central and North Ostrobothnia and Ostrobothnia. It belongs to the Finnish EFPP network. Activities include public lectures with regional central libraries and an annual training day for professionals and students.
The website lists psychotherapists in the region. Members can attend a literature circle and educational meetings. Written membership applications are decided by the board; membership is aimed at psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapists and psychoanalysts working in the region.
