This amateur astronomy association operates Sahanneva Observatory and arranges public observing evenings, private showings and members' club evenings. Membership is open regardless of age or background, with no telescope or previous knowledge required. Training covers telescope use and presenting observing sessions.
The observatory's sky cameras record celestial phenomena around the clock, with live feeds available to members. Observations are published in the Taivaanvahti database and videos on YouTube. Educational articles cover astronomy, seasons, sky photography and star charts.
